4061 Core Miniature Omnidirectional Microphone, Loud SPL

This microphone is acoustically identical to the 4060 Miniature Omnidirectional Microphone, Normal SPL, but its sensitivity is adjusted to accommodate higher sound pressure levels (SPLs).

The 4061 Miniature Omnidirectional Microphone, Loud SPL can handle SPL up to 144 dB peak before clipping, making it one of the best miniatures for use on very loud sound sources, such as some instruments and human voices.

6061 Core subMiniature Omnidirectional Microphone, Loud SPL

6061 CORE Subminiature Microphones are just 3 mm (0.12 in) in size but pack the audio power of larger, award-winning DPA mics.

These subminiatures have a lower noise floor than any other 3 mm (0.12 in) capsule on the market and they are better able to capture high sound pressure levels without distortion as well. In terms of technical specifications, the 6061 has a noise floor of only 26 dB(A), which is on par with the 5 mm (0.20 in) DPA miniature capsules.

When used as a lavalier, a special rotatable clip is available. The 360° clip allows the lav to be mounted in eight positions, chosen in 45° incremental steps. This makes it very easy to change from women's to men's shirts (left to right buttoned) or even t-shirts and the like where the neckline is used.

DPA Headset Mics

DPA 4288 Directional flex Headset Microphone

Combining the legendary sound of the 4088 Directional Capsule with the lightweight and DPA's flexible headset system, the 4288 Directional Headset Microphone is ideal for both spoken word and vocal performance applications. It offers accurate and natural voice intelligibility and very high-SPL capabilities – users can both speak and sing into the mic with no hint of distortion.

This mic provides excellent off-axis rejection in high-SPL situations. It efficiently suppresses distant sound sources making it perfect for demanding live performance environments where background noise and feedback are concerns. In high-SPL events, or when feedback is a concern, the 4088 Directional Capsule will tackle these challenges with ease. The bass response is designed for optimal linearity at 2-3 cm (1 in) from the sound source. This means that the bass roll-off will be relatively prominent at a greater distance – a paramount factor when it comes to rejection of background noise and in the fight to avoid feedback. The microphone capsule is also optimized for low distortion as well as humidity resistance.
